As a business in South Bank, access to your premises may be impacted by pedestrian or road restrictions put in place as part of the New Year's Eve 2026 Celebrations.
These restrictions will be in effect from early afternoon on New Year’s Eve, usually 2pm, until around 6am on New Year's Day.
The map below shows which areas are impacted by pedestrian restrictions:
On 31 December, security, stewards and infrastructure will be deployed by the event organisers to manage the restricted area. Stewards will check zones before closing them.
They will ask anyone without a ticket, access wristband or proven right to be there to leave.
It won’t be possible to pass into the restricted area without providing evidence that you have a right to enter that area. You may also need to pass through security checkpoints that carry out bag searches.
All businesses open on New Year’s Eve within a Restricted Event Area (as indicated on the map above) – like offices, pubs, restaurants, theatres and hotels – will be able to request access wristbands for their staff and guests so that they may access the premises.
Travel in London on NYE will likely be busier than usual and routes to your premises may be affected. So that you can inform your staff and guests, the organisers will provide you with information on how to access the Restricted Event Area and the recommended route to your premises.
If your property is affected by these restrictions, please email the event organisers at NewYearsEve@heartproductions.com.
The organisers will provide specific guidance on how to access the area and apply for any wristbands that you may need for your business.
