On 2 July, representatives from Business Improvement Districts across London came together at St John's Waterloo for an important meeting with the Greater London Authority, the Metropolitan Police and British BIDs to discuss shared priorities for supporting businesses and places across the capital.
South Bank BID was pleased to help coordinate the event alongside partners and proud to welcome colleagues to the neighbourhood.
Attendees heard from Howard Dawber, London’s Deputy Mayor for Business & Growth, and Kaya Comer-Schwartz, London’s Deputy Mayor for Policing & Crime, who outlined their priorities for working with London's BIDs to support inclusive growth, strengthen high streets and tackle crime.
British BIDs also shared insights into the growing contribution of BIDs across London and the UK.
South Bank BID’s Chair, Simon Edward, welcomed attendees to South Bank, and we were delighted to play a part in bringing London's BID community together.
As well as strengthening relationships with key partners, the meeting provided valuable insight into the policies, data and policing priorities that will help inform our work to support businesses and ensure South Bank's voice is heard in London-wide decision-making.
