In the midst of another national Lockdown, South Bank BID has co-signed a letter alongside the Leader of Southwark Council, the Cabinet Member for Jobs and Culture Skills and the chairs of the 4 other Southwark Business Improvement Districts, to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Alok Sharma.
The letter has been sent on behalf of Southwark businesses, and calls specifically for expansion on the Government’s strategy on engaging and supporting businesses in London. This letter follows on from a meeting that was held in early November between Southwark Council and representatives and Chairs of the 5 Southwark BIDs, to discuss how best to help and support our businesses at this time.
In particular, consideration and support was called on for the following points:
Clarity on Timing and Support for Planning.
Rateable Value Threshold Review.
A Collective Partnership Approach to Recovery in London.
