South Bank & Waterloo Sustains Us is the joint commitment from partners across the area to create a fairer and greener neighbourhood by 2030.
A key component of this work is improving air quality locally, and supporting all those who live, work and study here to make informed, healthy choices.
As one of the partners of the Sustains Us programme, South Bank BID has paid for 5 air quality sensors to be installed across the BID area. These 5 sensors are part of a network of 9 locally across South Bank and Waterloo, with the other 4 sensors provided by Lambeth and Southwark Council respectively.
To celebrate Clean Air Day, taking place on June 19th, the Sustains Us team have highlighted what the current findings tell us about the air quality here, alongside steps you can take as an individual or as a business to create cleaner air quality.
