This summer the Metropolitan Police launched a new digital platform called Met Engage, now live across Lambeth – including the Waterloo and South Bank Ward.
Designed to strengthen communication between neighbourhood policing teams and the community, the new Met Engage platform allows residents, workers, businesses, and community groups to stay up to date with local policing activity, crime prevention advice and receive local safety updates.
The Waterloo & South Bank Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving our community and is made up of officers based in the ward, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
On 27 November, the local SNT held a Crime Prevention Event at the National Theatre, supported by the National Theatre Security team and South Bank BID’s Patrol team and Security Manager.
An open, agenda-free session, these drop-in events are designed for people from the local area – including businesses, workers, students and residents – to be provided the space to voice concerns, share experiences, and contribute directly to working on solutions that help keep the area safe.
The next Crime Prevention Event is coming up in mid-December (date to be confirmed) and will be hosted at Guys & St Thomas' Hospital. These are drop-in events and no booking is required.
