The work of South Bank Clean Team has been a fundamental part of South Bank BID’s services to our levy payers since the the BID was first established in 2014, providing vital support in ensuring the appearance of the area continues to live up to its world-class reputation.

Coming now to a street near you, South Bank BID is excited to announce the introduction of two new electric vehicles for our area. The eco-litter picker (known as ‘Nelly’) and graffiti removal and street cleaning van (known as ‘Lenny’), are part of an ongoing focus on the environment and sustainability in the BID’s second term that will in total address renewable energy provision, improving and maintaining South Bank’s air quality, freight and delivery consolidation and business training workshops.

Alex Valenzuela, Director of Public Realm for South Bank Employers’ Group, who are the delivery agent for South Bank BID, said: “The new electric vehicles for the Clean Team reflect our continuing commitment to improve air quality and reduce emissions locally, one of the highest priorities in South Bank. We are continuing to work with our business community to achieve this not only through investing in electric vehicles, but through a combination of further short and longer term initiatives.”
