Lambeth Council has launched their new Lambeth Growth Plan, their ambitious 10 year plan for growth.
Launched at 72 Upper Ground in South Bank, the Growth Plan details a ten‑year strategy that pledges to create 20,000 jobs, deliver 10,000 homes and drive inclusive, sustainable growth across the borough.
The launch brought together more than one hundred of Lambeth's most prominent employers, including representatives from South Bank and the BID itself.
The growth plan identifies Lambeth’s wide range of assets, including three globally competitive priority growth clusters, 13,000 enterprises, and 1.7 million square feet of commercial space under construction.
Underpinning this Lambeth has identified four connected missions, each supported by a series of actions for both the next year, and the next decade. These missions include Commercial destinations, town centres and infrastructure, Growth sectors, Inclusive talent, Housing and neighbourhoods
The BID looks forward to continuing to work collaboratively with Lambeth on its outlined missions and actions, in order to support South Bank's business community. The growth sectors highlighted in Lambeth's plan, and in the wider London Growth Plan, play a vital role in South Bank's ecosystem, and the BID welcomes the strategic focus on investment and skills pathways within these key sectors.
