South Bank Patrol are a Patrol team permanently based in the BID area, made up of 6 members who work across two shifts of eight hours.
South Bank Patrol are part funded through the BID S106 funding from the London Eye, and private contributions from landowners; this joint working model ensures a comprehensive service for the area, particularly in areas of higher footfall and visibility. Their focus is primarily on engagement and support, working on areas such as tackling antisocial behaviour and unlicensed street trading, and areas identified by local businesses as issues for their operations.
South Bank Patrol undertake joint operations with our two local police officers and work collaboratively with local stakeholders, including wider London policing teams, and local security teams, in order to deliver effective and coordinated work.
A dedicated Security Manager for South Bank, who works closely with Patrol and is across our different security services, is funded entirely by the BID.
