WAC invites you to the ‘We Are Wonderful’ Party

post-image 15th January 2018

On January 22nd, Waterloo Action Centre (WAC) will host a ‘We Are Wonderful Party’ to celebrate the benefits of the active community both inside and outside WAC.

The event will take place in the Waterloo Action Centre building from 4pm to 8pm and will be a good opportunity to socialise, meeting new people and renewing acquaintances in a fun and positive atmosphere.

There will be tables for community groups developing new projects, including SoWN with their draft Neighbourhood Plan at which many local businesses, residents and other volunteers have been working together for the past years and that tackles many of the issues raised by South Bank BID businesses; Lambeth Life, a monthly non-for-profit community newspaper started in late 2017, a local history archive and other community-led initiatives.

The Waterloo Action Centre building has been run by and for the local community for 40 years. Today is the home of many organisations and hosts a number of daytime and after work activities that go from Tai Chi, dancing and dressmaking classes to book groups for people struggling with mental health difficulties and food collection.

Everyone involved in WAC or in Waterloo, or seeking to be involved, is invited!
