We are inviting South Bank BID businesses to a security breakfast meeting for a briefing from our Security Manager and to provide a forum to discuss security issues important to you. In order to do that successfully, we have compiled a brief survey that we encourage South Bank BID businesses to complete.
What are your concerns for security in South Bank? Is it unlicensed street trading, or anti-social behaviour? What will happen as budgets are further reduced? South Bank Patrol is helping to tackle these issues and continues to work closely with the police, other agencies and local businesses in the area to identify and respond to local security issues, low-level crime and the threat of terrorism. The Patrol has had great success in tackling crime and the fear of it, and continues to have an impact on the area with highly visible security teams and ongoing partnerships, for example with the Metropolitan Police.
However, threats do remain and the success of the Patrol lies in greater awareness of the issues and engagement from businesses in the area. South Bank BID businesses can have a big impact on how crime and security are tackled by letting us know what they see and experience and putting measures in place that protect their property and their employees. The aim of South Bank Patrol is to listen and respond.
We will inform BID businesses about the security breakfast soon. Before we do, please take the survey here. Please note this survey will close on Friday 22nd May 2015 at 5pm.
