BID funding allows extension of South Bank Patrol and dedicated Police Resource.

Thanks to the additional funding secured via South Bank BID levies, the South Bank Patrol Service has been reinforced and extended to cover additional parts of the South Bank now within the BID. The Patrol addresses unlicensed street trading, public safety issues and anti-social behaviour committed by members of the street population and rough sleepers. If any BID members need help with such issues please email firstname.lastname@example.org. The aim is to provide a consistent reassuring presence in the area, as well as helping visitors with directions and assistance.
South Bank Patrol is also supported by dedicated additional police resources working in partnership with us on problems such as aggressive begging and anti-social behaviour. From April 2015 we plan to extend this, taking advantage of a special provision enabling BIDs to buy in extra police resources at 50% of the normal rate. More information on this will follow in future bulletins.
