We Are Waterloo and South Bank BID have been developing a set of improvements to Cornwall Road which will deliver the first ‘Greenway’ – part of a network of pleasant, low pollution walking routes set out the South Bank and Waterloo Neighbourhood Plan. The project will remind local residents and workers to consider how changing their route can reduce exposure to harmful toxins, and Cornwall Road was chosen because it has been measured at 70% less polluted that parallel Waterloo Road.
We want to know your thoughts on the planned measures, which include everything from widened pavements to greenery to public art.
Please send any comments to email@example.com by 15th December.
NB This scheme has been developed in response to the potential availability of funding from the Mayor of London. If funding is received then a further period of public consultation will commence. If the application to receive funding for this scheme is not successful then we will look for alternative funding methods for this scheme in the future.
