This year, the London New Year’s Eve 2014 firework celebrations are ticketed to ensure the event will remain safe and fun for everyone. As in previous years, the fireworks will take place around The London Eye and follow a similar format to previous years, with music and a ten-minute display at midnight. There will be a number of road closures within the local area and for the first time, public access to the viewing areas will be restricted to ticket and wristband holders, to prevent overcrowding.
If you are a business or resident located within a ticketed or controlled area you will not require a ticket. However, you will be asked to demonstrate your right to be given access to the area. In order to facilitate this and enable ease of access the organisers are offering passes to businesses and residents, and their staff and guests. These will be easily recognised by stewards and will enable quicker access through pedestrian barriers and entry gates. If you have not already requested passes please contact the business and residents team at the event organisers Jack Morton Worldwide. They can be contacted by email at NYE@jackmorton.co.uk or by phone on 0208 735 2382.
Please see this leaflet provided by the Mayor’s Office for further information.
