Networking for People who Hate Networking

post-image 13th September 2017

Do you hate networking? How do you feel when someone suggests you should network more and or go and attend a networking event? For so many it leaves them cold and somewhat uncomfortable. But what if there was a way in which you could be more effective, more targeted and far more comfortable at doing this thing called networking?

If you hold out hope there could be a better way, then you need to meet Heather White. Heather is one of UK’s leading coaches, trainers and speakers on this subject. She doesn’t theorise about networking; she has had to succeed herself at networking so her whole approach is business practical. People work with people they like and trust, and that’s why Heather’s approach is so down to earth.

We have teamed up with Better Bankside to run this session which will be fun, but stacked full of practical solutions that can work for any character and in any business situation. Over a two hour period, we will look at:

  • How to present yourself to business people in a way that will help them to “get you”
  • How to move around the room with ease and professionalism
  • Just as importantly, how to carry on building relationships after you have met them

There will also be time at the end of the session to put into practice what you’ve learnt by networking with your neighbours from Better Bankside and South Bank BID over drinks. Come prepared to get stuck in and learn some new skills.

Arrive at 6pm for registration; the workshop will finish at around 8.15pm, followed by networking until close at 8.45pm. The event will take place at 15Hatfields Se18DJ.
