The Neighbourhood Plan: Give us Your Thoughts

post-image 29th November 2016

If you live or work in South Bank or Waterloo, take an online questionnaire and have a say about the future of your neighbourhood!

Over the past four years, SoWN has been developing a neighbourhood plan for the area, which is now open for public consultation. Between 16th November 2016 and 20th January 2017 they are encouraging locals to read through the plan and have their say.The plan can be viewed here and the plan’s appendices are separately accessed here.

The online questionnaire, which can be accessed here, should take about ten minutes to fill in. Anyone who completes the questionnaire will be automatically entered into a prize draw for a Christmas hamper worth £200!

Once SoWN have collected the responses, they will be analysed and a couple of public sessions will be put on to discuss the most important issues that arise from your responses. SoWN also plan to produce a document which shows what decisions were made on each comment. They aim to make changes to the document where possible to reflect the wishes predominantly of the people who live and work in the area. The public sessions will focus on areas where there is marked disagreement in terms of the comments received. Once final changes have been made, SoWN will submit the plan to Lambeth and Southwark Councils before it is handed to an independent inspector.
