Lambeth Council last week, on the 27th May, announced new funding measures to support specific sectors of the local economy most at risk from the fallout of Covid-19.
The Lambeth Local Economy Hardship Fund will provide £4.2m in grant support to over 370 organisations, including independent hospitality businesses such as restaurants, pubs, cafes, clubs and music venues, cultural organisations, charities, market traders and businesses in shared workspaces. The fund has been divided into four separate categories:
- Independent Hospitality Fund
- Arts and Culture at Risk Fund
- Charitable Organisations Fund
- Shared Workspace and Market Traders Fund
Grants of between £5,000 and £25,000 will be made available to a range of businesses within these sectors to support their economic recovery, as the country moves into the process of easing lockdown measures.
