The BID is now accepting promotional materials from public-facing businesses in South Bank. Your organisation can benefit from our award-winning mobile visitor information service, The InfoBikes.
The InfoBikes, three large pop up information vehicles, are strategically placed at points along the riverside where there are high levels of visitor footfall. Their aim is to provide on-the-spot information and directions to the thousands of visitors who flock to South Bank, Bankside and London Bridge each summer weekend.
The InfoBikes are manned by two specially trained members of staff who provide information to visitors on local events and attractions, as well as recommending the best places to eat and shop. The rear of the InfoBike folds out to allow for print and merchandising to be displayed and distributed by a member of our team.
The InfoBikes are a great opportunity for visitor economy businesses in South Bank to enhance their visibility through distribution and word-of-mouth promotion. This initiative has won several awards such as the Visit London Award for Best Visitor Information Initiative and the TFL Smarter Travel Award runner-up for Best Marketing & Communications Service, the InfoBikes are jointly run by South Bank BID, South Bank Marketing Group, Better Bankside and Team London Bridge.
The service will operate:
- Each weekend in July and August 10am-4pm (Riverside Walkway, outside Southbank Centre/Tate Modern/Tower Bridge)
- Every weekend in September and October (timings tbc), to target Rugby World Cup visitors on their way to/from Twickenham Stadium (outside Waterloo Station)
Public-facing members of the South Bank BID will be able to include one piece of print (max. 6000 items) on the South Bank InfoBike, free of charge. You may also be able to include merchandise such as Oyster card wallets, tote bags, stickers or badges.
To take advantage of the service, please send your print/merchandise to our distribution agency Impact at the address below. The deadline for delivery is Friday 13th May:
