Project Description: A redevelopment of the Elizabeth House building, which is currently located directly next to Waterloo Stations. Plans currently include an aim to deliver 1.2 million square feet of workspace and new retail, supporting up to 11,000 new jobs.
The public realm outside Victory Arch in Waterloo Station will also be transformed at the same time, creating step free access and improving connections between Waterloo and the rest of South Bank.
The scheme would also open up access to three new entrances to Waterloo Station, being created as part of Waterloo.London. A new pedestrian street: The Waterloo Curve is also proposed for the currently unused space between Elizabeth House and Waterloo.London. The new development would be lined with shops and cafés, helping connect from Victory Arch Square along to Leake Street.
Status: Proposal approved – in pre construction stage.
Completion Date: Estimated 2025-26.
Developer: HB Reavis.
