All Eyes will be on South Bank On 28th March

WWF Earth Hour takes place on 28th March 2015. For a third year they are working with South Bank London to make the area the prime destination for their promotional activity. In 2014, major attractions along the riverside, including OXO Tower and Southbank Centre, dimmed their lights as part of the global Switch Off and many restaurants and bars arranged special themed menus and events – all promoted by WWF (and their 800,000 social media following) as well as southbanklondon.com and national press.

2015 will be even bigger and we want to encourage South Bank BID businesses to get involved. Not only will you be supporting a fantastic campaign, but you will have a unique opportunity to benefit from a large promotional activity, and concentrated press coverage in the area.

What can you do? Many destinations along South Bank will be switching off their non-essential lights from 8.30pm – 9.30pm on 28th March. Understandably, for some businesses, this may not be possible. If you are a restaurant or a bar, you could host a candlelit dinner, a special WWF Earth Hour menu, dish or drink, or themed event.

How can you get involved? To benefit from the promotion by WWF and South Bank London, we need to know what you have planned. To take part in the Switch Off, register at
